Short-term rental guests scroll. They open six listings in a tab and pick the one that feels the most like a vacation. Styling decides which one they screenshot to send to their partner.
Start with the hero shot. The first photo carries 80% of the click-through. Stage it like a magazine cover: clean lines, layered texture, a single warm focal point — flowers, a throw, a tray with two glasses.
Next, design for the unboxing moment. A welcome basket, a hand-written card, fresh florals — these read as care, and care converts to five-star reviews.
Finally, choose materials that age well. Linen over polyester. Brass over chrome. Natural wood over laminate. Guests can't tell you why a space feels nice, but they can feel it — and they will book it again.
